Yes, we provide a full service. Insulation removal is generally the first step to carrying out sagging ceiling repairs. Our experienced team are able to remove all types of insulation ready for us to come through and repair your ceilings.

First, make sure you locate and remove the source of moisture causing the mould, for example fixing any roof leaks.

Depending on the extent of the mould, you can usually remove it by using a cleaning agent and wet sponge. However, if the mould coverage is extensive over the whole ceiling, you should consider removing and replacing the ceiling and cornices.

Once the mould is removed, ensure you keep the room well ventilated to reduce the risk of it re-appearing.

Raked ceilings follow the shape of the ceiling joists and beams in the home, rather than having a flat ceiling. They help to create a feeling of extra space and are commonly installed in open plan living spaces.

In our experience, cracks can usually be repaired by patching. However, we always recommend contacting us for a site inspection and quote to ensure you get the best solution for the damage to your ceiling. The wrong fix could lead to further damage and expense down the track.

First, make sure the cause of the leak has been repaired and the ceiling has had time to completely dry out before undertaking your drywall ceiling repair. If there is insulation in the ceiling, it is best to also remove this to help with the drying stage. We recommend calling us in for an inspection once the ceiling has dried out, to plan the most effective course of action. The ceiling may require repair or replacement depending on the extent of the damage before painting and finishing.

Often, if ceiling paint is flaking, our specialist will scratch back the paint, smooth the area and re-paint the surface. However, depending on the extent of the flaking, the ceiling may need to be patched before it can be re-painted.

For sagging plaster ceilings, our specialists will use a process of re-strapping. To prepare the area, any existing insulation will be removed and a dust vacuum will be carried out prior to re-strapping – this helps to make sure the new straps adhere to the existing ceiling. Then, we apply wet plaster and fibreglass, over the ceiling joists and attach them to the ceiling to secure the plaster glass ceilings in place.

Depending on the extent of sagging, we are sometimes unable to re-strap and the ceiling would then require replacement. If you are unsure whether re-strapping is right for your ceiling, contact our team for an inspection to determine the best approach.

If you have had sub-par repairs done – or purchased a home with a bad ceiling patch, unfortunately, the only way to improve it is to cut it out and re-do the repair. If you are unsure whether you need to re-do a bad ceiling patch, we’re happy to help. Call us for a ceiling inspection today!

The average ceiling height is 2400mm, however, many open plan living areas have an increased ceiling height.

No. We do not use any products containing asbestos.

Ceiling insulation is a thermal barrier that prevents heat transfer. It assists in reducing heat and cooling costs within your household.

Glasswool batts, like the Bradford Gold batts, are the most commonly used insulation product for ceiling insulation – and they are a great ceiling insulation product. Bradford Gold insulation comes in a range of different R-Values and is installed between the ceiling joists, to ensure insulation coverage is even. Bradford Gold is the only brand with full endorsements from asthma, allergy and cancer foundations and comes with a lifetime warranty.
